CMSR, Medical Rehabilitation and Diagnostic Centre, was created in the early 1970s by a group of entrepreneurs and doctors, who decided to invest in healthcare and high tech. At the time, it was one of the few healthcare organizations equipped with Computed Axial Tomography (CAT). In addition to radiology, CMSR’s activites, at the time, also focused on Cardiac Rehabilitation, which has now been abandoned, hence the name of Rehabilitation Centre.

From its initial location at Isola Vicentina, in the early 1990s, the Centre moved to its current headquarters at Altavilla Vicentina, via Vicenza 204. From that time on, a number of investments led to CMSR’s current configuration: n.1 Magnetic Resonance Imaging Machine Philips 3 Tesla "Ingenia Elition", n.2 Total Body Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Imaging machines (1.5 Tesla), with Image Segmentation (0.25 Tesla), a 128-slice CT scan, a Traditional Radiology Department, a Nuclear Medicine Department, a Mammography Department, and an Ultrasound Department.

In the context of Cardiology CMSR offers patients in the region cardiology services, holter dynamic ECG and pressurizers, stress testing, Doppler echocardiography, Doppler vascular ultrasound, myocardial scintigraphy in collaboration with Nuclear Medicine, and Cardiac Magnetic Resonance in collaboration with the Magnetic Resonance Service.

  • For years CMSR has worked with the Department of Cardiovascular Sciences of the University of Padua
  • It also supports and promotes research projects.

CMSR also has a Clinical Pathology Laboratory (Clinical Biochemistry, Haematology and Coagulation, Immunology Diagnosis, Microbiology, Occupational Toxicology) and a Sports Medicine Service, which both operate under a self-insured, self-pay basis.
