Prof. Nobili Nursing Home is a private, multi-specialty hospital, accredited by the NHS, with a Punto di Primo Intervento (First Intervention Point) and an Emergency Service with Ambulance.
Located just 40 km from Bologna and Florence, and 4 km from the A1 motorway, "Badia" exit - Directissima Bologna-Firenze (high-speed rail link between Bologna and Florence). The structure performs the role of regional hospital. It has two main departments: one dedicated to General Surgery and Orthopaedics, and the other to General Medicine and Long-term care.
It also has a Dialysis center and an outpatient diagnostic service, outfitted with high-performance equipment, including two next-generation magnetic resonance machines.
Founded in the 1950s by Prof. Umberto Nobili, a well-known surgeon from Bologna, the company has progressively transformed and expanded itself, and has today become a multi-specialty hospital and a centre of excellence.
The facility is equipped with 86 beds accredited by the NHS. It offers regular hospitalization, emergency treatment, day-hospital and day-surgery services. It is structured in functional units for hospitalization and healthcare services:

Outpatient clinic: The Outpatient Clinic provides outpatient diagnostic services covered by the NHS (which can be booked via the CUP2000 online booking service of the Bologna USL company), and private services in the following specialties:

Diagnostic Imaging Service: the service is completely digitalized and provides the following services: Radiology, Magnetic Resonance and Ultrasound. It is equipped with two digital X-ray diagnostic machines, two Magnetic Resonance machines, as well as portable equipment for intraoperative diagnostics.
Dialysis Center: is equipped with 6 dialysis machines (artifical kidneys) which are managed in collaboration with the Nephrology and Dialysis Service of the S. Orsola Polyclinic of Bologna.
Punto di Primo Intervento: (Point of First Intervention) active 24 hours a day. The Regional Emergency Service, with ambulance, is coordinated by the Bologna Emergency Services Operations Centre (118).
