THE GVDR GROUP PRESENTS THE PROJECT TO EXPAND THE CADONEGHE HEADQUARTERS

Saturday, October 28, 2023

The new wing of the Cadoneghe headquarters of GVDR Gruppo Veneto Diagnostica Riabilitazione was inaugurated last 28 October, one of the most important diagnostic and rehabilitation centers in the Veneto Region in terms of volumes and quality of services provided.
The expansion project was born in 2016, with the purchase of the former Parish Theater of Mejaniga di Cadoneghe, already closed for years, and led to the recovery of an area in severe degradation. The investment was over 4 million euros and took place within the expected timescales, despite the slowdowns due to the pandemic.
Through this expansion, the GVDR headquarters in Cadoneghe now reaches a total area of over 5000 m2.
The new wing hosts the neuropsychological rehabilitation activity on the ground floor with a gym of approximately 400m2, equipped with the VIKTOR platform, the second installed in Italy, which allows quadriplegic and paraplegic patients to walk using a track fixed to the ceiling. The gym also has a HUNOVA stabilometric platform, for evaluating the patient's stability and the LAB BRAIN laboratory for the treatment of neurological, psychological, physical and behavioral disorders.
The first floor, in addition to hosting two clinics for the sampling point and podiatry, has a surgical clinic and an extra-hospital operating room equipped with the latest generation equipment, including a "touch panel" that displays the intensity of the lighting, the temperature, humidity and air quality, signaling with an alarm any deviations from the programmed parameters, required by current legislation. The surgical clinic hosts an endoscopic column equipped with 5 endoscopes and artificial intelligence for gastroscopies and colonoscopies. A cutting-edge system that provides the doctor with a better view of the mucosa, guaranteeing very high quality standards. Artificial intelligence even allows us to recognize in real time the intestinal polyps that have a greater risk of turning into cancer.
As part of the outpatient surgery department, venous vascular surgery, ophthalmology surgery, gynecological and ENT surgery, cosmetic surgery and dermatological removals will be performed.
The top floor also hosts various outpatient activities, including Telemedicine and occupational medicine.
Finally, the new structure is equipped with photovoltaic panels capable of providing 33 thousand KWh per year, avoiding the release of 17,500 kilograms of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.

“The expansion project was born from the brilliant intuition of Giuseppe Caraccio and Maria Stella Zaia - comments Maria Laura Garofalo, CEO of Garofalo Health Care -, who in 2016 with the real estate company GVDR sas, decided to carry forward the expansion project with a investment of approximately 3 million euros. When GVDR became part of the GHC – Garofalo Health Care Group in December 2022, we immediately appreciated the foresight of the project, fully embracing its objectives and consequently deciding on additional investments to further strengthen its objectives.”

The GVDR Group, in addition to the main headquarters in Cadoneghe, also has three other structures: one in Padua, one in Scorzè (near Venice) and one in Conegliano, in the province of Treviso.
